Sweet Rose Vesper
It’s National Martini Day, so here’s a sweet little Vesper variation for ya.
More importantly, I was inspired by the cocktail balancing shenanigans of @highproofpreacher and his corgi @pip_from_portland, and then also by @spiritedla’s hilarious rendition, that I felt like I needed to put a cocktail on a chicken.
It’s photoshopped. Calm down. I did not actually balance a glass of booze on my chicken.
I did, however, actually balance a plastic cup with a rose in it on my chicken.
And Regina Phalange wasn’t even mad about it.
SWEET ROSE VESPER
Makes 1 serving (although pictured here is a half serving, since I used a wee little glass)
2 ounces rosé-flavored vodka such as Hangar One
2 ounces Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
1/2 ounce dry rosé wine
1 drop rosewater
a twist of lemon peel
rose blossom or petals for garnish
Except for lemon peel and garnish, combine all ingredients in either a shaker with ice, or a mixing glass with ice (do you like it shaken or stirred? That is the question.) Shake or stir until ice cold, then strain into a chilled coupe. Twist a lemon peel over the top to express a little lemon oomph into the drink, and then garnish with a rose blossom or petals.
Do not use your chicken as a coaster.
