Rose Petal Mojito

Rum

Well…since it’s National Mojito Day and all…

To make one mojito:

  • 5 fresh mint leaves (I love apple mint)
  • 5 large, fragrant rose petals
  • 1/2 lime, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
  • .5 oz. rose water
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 cup club soda

In the bottom of a Collins glass, muddle one lime wedge plus the mint and the rose petals. Add two more lime wedges, the rose water, and the sugar, and muddle some more. Give all that a good stir, then fill your glass almost all the way up with ice. Add rum and club soda, stir, and garnish with a lime wedge, a sprig of mint, and a few rose petals.

And keep that drink away from those damned chickens.
