Tequila Colada

I am never ever ever mad at a piña colada. Especially when it’s not a fussy frozen one, and especially when it’s made with Exotico Tequila Blanco. YES THAT’S RIGHT. Tequila Colada. We are doing this. And we’ll give it a fresh little floral twist by adding in a touch of elderflower liqueur just for funsies.
I really love Exotico Blanco. Its bright, peppery-fresh flavor is such a nice addition to sooooo many summer cocktails.
And the bottle looks really nice next to this particular chicken. Just sayin’.
TEQUILA COLADA
Makes 1 serving.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Exotico Tequila Blanco
2 oz. coconut cream
1.5 oz. pineapple juice
.5 oz. elderflower liqueur
.5 oz. fresh lime juice
lime wheel + blossoms for garnish (see note below)
To make the cocktail: fill a goblet or highball glass with ice. Combine all cocktail ingredients except garnish in a shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly until chilled and strain into prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and blossom sprig. A note about baby’s breath (Gypsophila elegans): it is not technically edible, so while it is fine to use as a garnish, do not consume. Or let your chickens consume (mine couldn’t be less interested in it).
Cheers, friends!
