4 fluted cocktail coupe glasses filled with red holiday spritz garnished with dried orange wheels, cranberries, with red striped napkin and green and white truvia sweetner packets. Lights, florals, greenery, and a white chicken in background.

I really, really appreciate a sweet little party cocktail where you can get the “hard part” done ahead of time. This Spiced Port Cranberry Spritz, sweetened with Truvia, a calorie-free, zero-sugar, plant-based sweetener, is exactly that.

So what’s this alleged hard part? It actually isn’t. It’s a simple Spiced Port Cranberry Liqueur made even easier with Truvia packets that you can whip up on the stovetop in about 15 minutes, pop in the fridge and store way in advance. At party time, the cocktail itself is a quick 3:2:1 in-glass build of sparkling rosé, your pre-made liqueur, and club soda. This makes it a great DIY cocktail for your guests to a handle on their own so you don’t have to play bartender all night. And that means more time to pet chickens while you sip.

So what goes into this delicious, magical holiday liqueur? Ruby port, spiced rum, cranberries, the juice of half an orange, and two packets of Truvia Stevia Sweetener (this also comes in jars if you want to scale up to make a larger batch of liqueur). It looks so darling packaged in a cute bottle with a handwritten label—and it also makes such a lovely hostess gift on its own!

Entertaining tip: along with your party glassware and a bucket of useable ice and a few bowls of garnish, place a bottle of the pre-made liqueur, a bottle of sparkling rosé, and a bottle of club soda on ice next to a small handmade sign of instructions for making the cocktail. Let your guests be their own bartender with this easy drink!
